It is important for individuals working within the field of violence against women to have a strong understanding of PTSD, including symptoms and treatment options. While all individuals impacted by violence may not have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it is imperative to be able to recognize behaviors, thoughts, feeling and symptoms that can occur after an individual has been impacted by a traumatic event.
