When should you be vague in documentation? Who should have access to your clinical notes? How should you respond to a subpoena of your records? What federal laws govern clients’ access to electronic records? Substandard documentation can harm clients and expose social workers to the risk of ethics complaints and litigation. This training will include a succinct overview of documentation challenges in social work. Dr. Frederic Reamer will highlight key decisions social workers make regarding the purposes, content, wording, storage, and disclosure of documentation. Case examples and risk management protocols will be included. *This webinar does not qualify for NBCC clock hours in ethics for Licensed Professional Counselors.
