Being able to successfully manage differences and challenges in supervision is a hallmark of the clinically prepared supervisor. In this interactive webinar some of the major reasons for challenges in supervision are discussed, with the addition of providing tools for the supervisor to think about using for preparing for possible difficulties. Besides preparatory tools, participants will also have the opportunity to develop strategies for dealing with specific challenging behaviors in small group discussions. *This is a full-day webinar, 9:30am - 3pm. Attendees must attend the entire day to receive a certificate of completion.

    About the Instructor

    Robert Hazlett, MSW, PhD, has had a long tenured career as a social work clinician, supervisor, teacher, and administrator. He is the former executive director of the Long Beach Island Community Center, a large multi-program nonprofit organization with over 130 employees, located in Brant Beach New Jersey. He led the organization through an extensive expansion in programs serving the community in his more than 25 years as a leader there. Dr. Hazlett is currently an adjunct professor and popular trainer at the Rutgers School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education where he teaches on several topics including ethics, management, the DSM-5, supervision, and training skills.
