Ethical Issues in Social Work Practice

This is a 5 hour webinar. Knowledge of Ethic Issues is not only an intrinsic aspect of good Social Work practice, but it also serves as a Risk Management tool to protect both the worker and the client. This webinar will expose participants to theoretical material regarding ethical decision making, and discuss and utilize guidelines for making ethical decisions. Through the use ethical case examples, participants will have hands on opportunities to recognize ethical issues in various scenarios, and develop appropriate responses to the dilemmas presented.

About the Instructor

Robert Hazlett, MSW, PhD, has had a long tenured career as a social work clinician, supervisor, teacher, and administrator. He is the former executive director of the Long Beach Island Community Center, a large multi-program nonprofit organization with over 130 employees, located in Brant Beach New Jersey. He led the organization through an extensive expansion in programs serving the community in his more than 25 years as a leader there. Dr. Hazlett is currently an adjunct professor and popular trainer at the Rutgers School of Social Work, Office of Continuing Education where he teaches on several topics including ethics, management, the DSM-5, supervision, and training skills.
