Attachment Based Parenting Approaches in Adoption
ID: 5954WEBIn this interactive and clinical webinar, participants will explore how missing and disrupted attachments impact adopted children’s behaviors. Participants will identify symptoms of impaired attachment and discuss the emotional demands this has on adoptive parents and families. Through case examples and experiential activities, participants will learn strategies to assist parents to strengthen the parent-child relationship and implement parenting techniques that focus on attachment and building trust rather than ‘traditional’ parenting approaches. Mental health professionals will add to their clinical ‘tool box’ as they learn new techniques that will be effective for foster and adoptive families.[Required for Adoption Certificate Program]Fee: $60.00
