Creative Interventions for Children and Adolescents with Anxiety

This highly experiential webinar draws from the fields of cognitive behavioral therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and expressive arts. We will explore creative strategies and activities for psychoeducation and intervention with children and teenagers ages 6-17 who experience anxiety. We will review important information about children and adolescents with anxiety, including ways to incorporate parent support. Participants will learn child & adolescent friendly ways to provide therapeutic support to their clients, including: developing appropriate psychoeducation, strategies to foster a calmer nervous system, externalizing the problem, and building a repertoire of effective coping skills.     About the Instructor

    Crystal Zelman, LCSW, CCLS, RPT-S, is a licensed clinical social worker, certified child life specialist, and registered play therapist supervisor. She has been supporting children & families for over 15 years, and owns a private practice in Denville, NJ called Morris County Play Therapy. She has many years experience working with children who have a parent with cancer, children who are grieving the loss of a loved one, as well as children and families in Early Intervention. She has a passion for providing clinical support & case consultation to clinicians pursuing their play therapy certification.
