Aging: The Human Process
This workshop will provide the foundation and content for understanding older clients. The physical, psychological. and social aspects of the aging process will be addressed. The workshop is designed to provide a conceptional and theoretical basis for understanding the current body of applied work in Gerontology. Emphasis will be placed on the practical implications of research and academic writings in the field. Changes that occur in the normal aging process will be contrasted with abnormal changes. The interdisciplinary nature of Gerontology will be a primary orientation of the workshop. *This is a 2-day webinar. Attendees must attend both days to receive a certificate of completion. [Required for Basic Gerontology, Senior Housing Issues or Senior Services Certificate Program]MSWs who took a gerontology course as part of their masters program may request a waiver.
