Unwanted Consensual Sex: Treating the Silent Sexual Trauma

ID: 5363WEB

Sexual consent has gotten renewed attention since the “me too” movement gave women permission to openly discuss the sexual abuse they were suffering in silence. What the consent conversation does not address is the very common experience many women have of consenting to have sex they do not want. Unwanted consent, or sex without desire, is the cause of many emotional and physical symptoms that are often blamed on something else. This webinar will define unwanted consent, explore the reasons it happens, and provide participants with a plan to help our clients identify and process the negative impact of agreeing to have unwanted sex.
