Managing Mood through Action: Using Behavioral Activation for Depression and Anxiety
ID: 5297WEBLifetime prevalence rates of depression in the US are 8.4% (NIMH, 2020) and 15.6% for an anxiety disorder (CDC, 2019). Estimates show that 60% of those with one of these debilitating issues will also have the other (NAMI, 2018). These numbers have only increased since COVID. Behavioral Activation Therapy (BAT), a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is well known for its efficacy in the treatment of depression and has been shown highly effective in the treatment of anxiety as well. Participants of this webinar will learn all the foundations of BAT and how to apply BAT in the treatment of depression and anxiety.
