Road Map to Trauma Informed Care
Helping patients heal from trauma is one of the most challenging things we do. Trauma-informed practice recognizes the potential of people to heal despite traumatic experiences. It involves an understanding of the pervasive nature of trauma and how it affects people's lives and utilizes people's strengths and relationships to support healing. The goal of this workshop is to introduce trauma and principles of trauma informed care. It will examine the definitions/types and nature/scope of trauma and its impact on individuals, families and communities. This webinar will review the 5 “R”s that are essential components of trauma informed care.
