Incorporating Anti-Racism Practice into Violence Prevention Work
ID: 1310WEBThis webinar explores the ways that racism and oppression have shaped anti-violence movements and how we can dismantle these in our own work with clients, within our organizations and in our communities. Facilitators will guide participants through a self-assessment of individual and organizational practices and provide action steps to incorporating actively anti-racist, anti-oppressive principles into their everyday work as a form of primary violence prevention. Looking Through Invisible Borders: A Cross-Cultural Response to Trauma Survivors
ID: 1328WEBThis webinar's scope utilizes a cross cultural perspective in examining, exploring and identifying appropriate clinical strategies in trauma response. Sexual violence is endemic amongst all races, cultures and ethnicities nationally and internationally. Through this workshop we will attempt to understand the trauma experience cross culturally and the use of the professional's sense of self and identity in strategizing appropriate response.
